My name is Mr. Rodriguez, and I am the Kindergarten teacher. This is my second year at St. Michaels, as well as in Kindergarten and am very excited to be here. I previously worked at a preschool Head Start Program under Baldwin Park Unified for thirteen years. In between those years I also taught at various private preschools during the summers. My college education began in Santa Monica College where I obtained my AA and studied early childhood educations that had a heavy focus on the Regio Emilia Inspired style. I then attended National University where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I then continued and obtained my Masters in Education. I am a husband, and father of one son.
My goal as the kindergarten teacher is build the strong educational foundation the children need in order to have a successful academic career. Nurturing their curiosity, their natural wonder and exploration, as well as fostering a love for reading, are all key aspects I hope to build in each child in Kindergarten. Together with your support and communication, we can empower the children into success
