I am Israel Ramos, and my academic journey embarked from the venerable halls of California State University, Los Angeles. In 2015, I emerged with a Bachelor of Arts in History, and in 2017, I furthered my scholarly pursuits by obtaining a Master's degree in History. Seven dedicated years were spent within the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) before I embarked on my third year at St. Michaels.
My teaching values find profound resonance with my Catholic faith, rooted in compassion and empathy. Guided by the principles instilled by my Catholic heritage, I cultivate a compassionate classroom environment, in alignment with Christian tenets such as loving thy neighbor and aiding the less fortunate. Moreover, I hold a deep appreciation for individualism and self-efficacy in teaching, valuing the unique strengths and potential of each student, fostering their autonomy, and empowering them to chart their own paths to success. My pedagogical philosophy, venerates classical educational methodologies and unwavering dedication to academic rigor, all with the goal of nurturing disciplined minds prepared to navigate the complexities of the present.
Outside the classroom, my life is adorned with a diverse array of interests. I am a frequent visitor to the gym, a sanctuary where physical vitality, well-being, and discipline are honed and fortified. Amidst the fervent cheers of spectators, I find solace and exhilaration in the world of sports, with a particular passion for football (soccer). In the narrative of my life, one discovers an erudite scholar, a devout Catholic, and a dedicated educator, whose multifaceted pursuits enrich the pages of my life's journey.
